first off i wanna send a big thank you to gladcastle, the werks, lost lingo, le chat lunatique and jay from birdland making this event so smooth and awesome! love you all. this was kind of a crazy moustache party, everybody had a great time! i spent about a week making stage props which included 4 mustache heads cutout of plywood and painted, a 16 ft mustache that had sweet lights, a photo booth, and beandips kissing booth, all of which turned out awesome. it was a good show, more pics from the show coming soon. 18 x 24 prints available for $ 50

this was about a month back but i forgot to post it. forgive me. anyhow this band papadosio rocks my socks right on off! ian and i drove up from Albuquerque to Denver for the show. got a full day of snowboarding in right before the show and topped it off with some great tunes by papadosio. soooo all in all great time. this is my first live painting with oil paints, my initial concern was how long it takes to dry. however, since i use a lot of liquin original, the drying time gets cut in half. i think i'm going to be painting in oils more. this was done last friday with lost lingo, rand larzeny, and the secret band, twas a good evening. lovely folks as always. its great to finish a painting within a few hours. sold

first of all i had so much fun at AURA i got sick, but i RAGED It for as long as i could and painted for 52 hrs straight!!!! The lineup was awesome, im just gonna go through it here real quick, the first day it all started out with THe Rooze, saltwater Grass, Chroma, THe Burnin Smyrnans, Diocious, Green Hit, THe Malah, Greenhouse Lounge, Zoogma till the break of dawn, second day soso, Lingo, Fat Mannequin, Crazy Fingers, Noise ORG, Aquaphonics, Damn Right!, The HEavy Pets, Sci Fi Papadosio, Sci FI, Gravity A. there are so many more i just listed the sets i painted to. some other notable bands that were there include Third Nature, Robot ears, J2K, Under the Porch, New Gravity, EP3, Shak Nasti

it was a sold out 3 day festival, in st cloud florida on the crescent J Rance. I got there early and constructed a Recychadellic Robot made from found objects around the Ranch and in the backyards of neighbors with the help of my good friend Justin Runfola. anyway we had fun, heres some photos from that fun

Painted this during Spring Creek and Emmitt - Nershi Band @ the bluebird in Denver. both bands were incredible emmitt-nershi band played "tangled up in blue" it was pretty fitting with what was going on in the painting so... those wise words are at the bottom. and good ol Bill Nershi of String Cheese Incidents has the painting. i feel honored.

I've been getting really into doing Live Paintings lately, and finishing a piece in a couple hours, and their getting bigger and bigger! this one was done at a show with North America, Holy Fuck, and Red River. All great bands and great people. by the way if you've never heard of some of the bands ive been posting these live paintings with you should probably check them out.

so its that time of year again. yes indeed march moustache madness! so fellas if you have some puny facial hair, all the better, even if you normally have a stache this is the time to really celebrate it. so whether you be in new mexico, florida, new york or south dakota may you celebrate your moustache with the utmost pride and prestige.

these are some posters i did for the big MOUSTACHIO BASHIO at the double tree ballroom downton albuquerque at the end of the month for a big march moustache madness blowout. this is a project i have had so much fun with its ridiculous. i love a good moustache.

i finished this painting about an hour before i hung the show at 508. so this is the newest piece I've done. playing around with a pretty neutral palette introducing a little pink throughout the painting. the show was a great turn out and from the looks of it everyone that showed up had a great time. just want to give a thanks to those of you that showed up. yall make it happen. ill work on getting some better pictures of the show and post them soon.

this is one of the more recent painting I've done. i started this as a live painting at a lost lingo concert and finished it in the studio. i love doing these live paintings because it gives me a time frame or a deadline to get something down. That something i get down usually tends to be on the more abstract side when its live and intuition kicks in. The last few years I've had all the fundamentals of art and illustration crammed into my head, so this is my product of just letting loose and diggin the music and my surroundings.

robots again!! i put these guys in my solo show i had at warehouse 508 in albuquerque. this guy is part of a series of about 10 robots i built out of found objects, mostly old radios and mechanical parts. painted them to give them some individuality. then i thought it was only fit to paint a portrait of them in all their righteousness.

these are the first etchings i've ever done i really enjoyed this process. i used a copper plate and painted my image with asphaltum (sticky tar) and mineral spirits let that dry then etched the plate in an acid bath for a few hours. printing is another beast

So I'm doing some concert posters just to have fun and make some cool images. Finally my time has come i have learned the rules now it is time to break them. Ive spent the last three years here at art school painting things as real as i can paint them trying to pay attention to subtle value shifts and accurate drawing. But now its time for that funky shit.
